HOTDOG WHO?

The Hotdog Safari

The Hotdog Safari is an annual, multi-day restaurant/chef competition to raise money to fight hunger and fund local food assistance programs. The Hotdog Safari is growing each year and spreading to new reaches of America, while the two major safaris take place in Worcester, MA and New Orleans, LA.

In Worcester, events are organized throughout the year to benefit both local food pantrys as well as the Worcester County Foodbank. In New Orleans, the money helps to fund New Orleans Community  Fridges. Funds raised at this event help ensure the  fridges are full throughout the year.  Those in need are able to stop by any of these fridges and take what they need to feed themselves and their families.

How it Works

During the Hotdog Safari day, participants purchase a scorecard. They can travel between any and all the participating restaurants. There, they will eat, drink, and sample all the competitor’s dogs. Participants are welcome to travel between stops at their leisure with a group or individually.

The Hotdog Safari cumulates with an after-party, open to the public, where supporters can enjoy live music, food and drink, and see additional ways to support: giveaways, games, and more. Finally, the winner will be announced and the infamous hotdog trophy awarded.
